INTRODUCTION
Fine Arts encompass
subjects such as dancing, design, sculpture, architecture, pottery, interior
design, painting, drama and music. Fine Arts essentially is an art form, which
includes objects mainly created for concept or aesthetic value rather than
utility.
Presently, conventional art forms are being converted into
profitable sectors for commercial use. Today, opportunities are increasing at a
rapid rate in the fine arts sector. Presently, youth in India is opting for this
field to obtain high remuneration, popularity and prestige.
The use of art to express ideas or rather sell
'ideas' has long been used because in general, 85% of our thoughts and views
are nurtured by what we 'see'. Therefore, the use of art is definitely a

skills in other areas such as commercial art, which is relatively more popular.
CONDITIONS OF WORK
Mostly
indoor work if you are a painter. But if you have selected Dance, Photography,
Theatre etc. you have to work mostly outdoor.

EARNINGS:
A graduate in fine arts can initially
start earning Rs. 4000 - 9000/- every month and the pay package can be expected
to increase along with experience as well as knowledge. People working in
publishing houses, media houses and advertising agencies are expected to earn
attractive compensation of nearly Rs. 15000 - 75,000/- every month.
EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
There are a large
number of fine arts courses offered at the certificate, diploma and degree
level at a number of institutions. But the basic education required to get
admission in certificate, diploma and degree level courses is 10 + 2
(any stream).
The eligibility required for Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts is
a higher secondary (10+2) pass. Usually, the course duration for this course is
3-4 years in most of the institutes and universities. Foundation and
specialization course are taught in the first and remaining years respectively.

admission in course through entrance exam conducted by different universities.
After completion of course either get job in any reputed company or can work

Art students have a large spectrum of options in
front of them, ranging from working in art studios, advertising companies,
publishing houses, fashion houses etc. A number of artists chose to be
freelance workers; this allows for variety in their projects. Other related
careers are teaching, direction, photography, television, clothing and fashion,
as art directors for magazines, on-line services, software companies,
manufacturers, advertising, promotion and product design.
Artists and craftsmen at times work as freelancers and make
their living by selling artwork created by them. Mostly in freelancing jobs
acquiring a steady income is not possible. However, people with outstanding
talent at times receive outstanding commissions for their exquisite work.
Within the fine arts field, success prospects depends on an

director in theatre & film productions.

artists find employment in advertising agencies, interior design & display,
exhibition work, government undertakings, etc.
Advertising
agencies recruit trainee visualisers who are responsible for the production of
layout for advertising campaign. Creative director conceptualizes the
advertisement. Graphic artists prepare graphics.
